Our client is a leading Financial Services provider.  They are seeking an experienced Product Manager.

 

This role has the responsibility to manage a product portfolio in terms of driving metric results.  It also has the responsibility to manage research & management information requirements on behalf of the product team.  Critical to the role is ensuring all communication and business documentations are available, accurate and updated with any relevant product or regulatory changes. The role is based in Dublin but the role holder will also be required to travel to the UK as and when required.

 

The responsibilities of this role are:

 

  • Responsible for actively managing all distribution channel(s) (branch, network and online) through ongoing sales engagement and support, training, new incentives and seller events. Ensure full comprehension of the sales process across products portfolio and being involved in change
  • Ensuring actions required to drive improvements in product quality measures are implemented effectively
  • Maintaining Management Information on product trading performance, competitor insight and regulatory and industry development, and proposing appropriate changes to product portfolio to respond to developments. Analysing and identifying trends within individual customer segments and making recommendations with respect to customer targeting.
  • Monitoring relative positioning of the product set - maintenance of insight on competitor products with respect to pricing and covers and monitoring general market and regulatory developments, making recommendations on how to develop the product set to address issues with relative positioning in the market.
  • Monitoring trading performance and identify changes required to portfolio to address performance shortfalls. Proactively and accurately plan key product research (seller, market and competitor) and development activities to agree delivery dates. Develop sales and marketing plans
  • Maintenance of templates with Legal & Compliance for business critical documentation - policy documents, policy summaries and any other mandatory materials. Ensure standard wording and design & layout fairly reflects the terms of the product and is clearly understandable by the customer base.
  • Maintenance of a log of product collaterals including version control and details of design, print and distribution process. Managing collateral changes including obtaining appropriate signoffs and liaising with design, print and distribution partners. Respond to collateral queries from channels, design print & distribution partners and legal & compliance
  • Support new product initiatives as required including needs analysis, preparation of business case, obtaining approvals and implementation

  • Creation of initiatives to improve product and channel interaction and in turn drive performance

 

This role is based in Dublin, but some travel to the UK is required.  Salary starts at 50-65K depending on experience comprehensive range of benefits.
