Marketing Executive - Consumer Electronics
Our client, a leader in the global consumer electronics arena, is currently hiring an experienced Marketing Executive to work with the Irish Sales Team in the development and implementation of a clear and effective Sales and Marketing strategy that accelerates the performance of the business in Ireland.
Key responsibilities:
- To develop and execute effective in-store merchandising solutions which increase the brand presence, maximise sales out and deliver a clear and consistent brand message across the retail environment. This will be achieved through working closely with the retail partners and developing relationships with all key influencers.
- To work with Sales and Retailers to develop and implement innovative promotional plans which deliver our commercial targets.
- To work with Sales and Retailers to put in place co-branded initiatives which drive awareness and consideration of our brand, with specific focus on digital, co-branded advertising, local store initiatives and technology showcases.
- To ensure that Irish Merchandising and Training resource has clear visibility of the key initiatives, ranging and promotional plan by each Retailer in order to maximise the effectiveness of this resource.
Other Responsibilities
- To manage and motivate selected BTL agencies to ensure that we deliver best in class solutions at retail.
- To provide regular, relevant and timely market and brand performance data to the business to allow improved decision-making.
- To maintain a database of competitor activity and product spec which is regularly shared with the business and used to feed in to PRM discussions
Person Specification
Education and qualifications – Of graduate calibre
Experience
- Customer facing experience gained from Customer/Trade Marketing, National account management or Category Management roles – specifically dealing with Multiple Retailers
- Good communication skills – listening and presenting.
- Commerciality – has to be able to balances commercial, customer and consumer motivations to deliver outstanding results.
- Numeracy/Analytical skills – has to be able to use financial tools and models to help evaluate strategy and key
initiatives. - Relationship building – must be comfortable in dealing with customers and other key stakeholders and have an ability to build positive relationships.
- Excellence in execution - Can balance multiple projects and work to aggressive time scales within budget. Manage complexity and its implications within projects. Insists on high implementation standards. Can take a call on the balance of speed and quality pushing back where appropriate.
