Our client, a leader in the Irish travel & tourism industry, is currently recruiting for an experienced interim Brand Manager. The successful candidate will come from a marcoms background with a strong digital marketing mix skillset.

Role Profile:
This is a key role within the marketing function, with responsibility for implementing effective consumer marketing communications across key markets. Key responsibilities include:

Marketing communications

  • Working with creative and media agencies manage the briefing, production and implementation advertising and marketing activity
  • Together with the Digital marketing team, ensure online marketing opportunities are effectively exploited
  • Working closely with other internal departments (e.g. Pricing, Distribution, Sales), ensure that marketing and promotional material meets commercial targets and achieves the required response.

Partners/Third party relationships

  • Manage co-operative advertising relationships to ensure the organisation receives the maximum benefits from partner funding/promotion. 
  • Identify suitable partners for the organisation to work with to promote the product and brand internationally.

Budget Management and administration

  • Ensure advertising and promotional spend is managed within pre-approved limits, costs are minimised and maximum value is achieved across all activity.
  • Maintain tight cost control of marketing items and ensure monthly accruals are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Market Intelligence & Consumer Insight

  • Source information from key industry partners to identify market trends and consumer insights across each market.
  • Monitor competitor activities and marketing strategies.
  • Where required, manage the implementation of primary research.

Measurement & Control

  • Using available measurement tools, report on the performance and effectiveness of local marketing activity. Guide and inform media and creative strategy by analysing and comparing performance of different media.

Brand/Corporate Identity

  • Maintain and reinforce the agreed brand and corporate identity across the markets
  • Support Corporate Affairs Team and/or external PR agencies on sponsorship/media activity where required.

Candidate Profile

  • The ideal candidate is a marketing graduate with at least 3 years experience in marketing communications, achieved on either the client or agency side.
  • Strong campaign management and production skills.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, with a genuine desire to make an impact within a dynamic Marketing team.
  • Commercially focused with a results driven approach to marketing
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Excellent numeric and analytical skills. Applicants should be proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills.
